I take a lot of photos with my mobile phone, it’s convenient and super fast to take a quick snap. All the above photos are taken with my Huawei P9 which is honestly the best phone I have ever had to take photos with. The dual camera by Leica is great and I find the Wide Aperture Effect is great to have turned on. You get a great depth of field and it makes portraits look really special. One thing I find a bit annoying is that sometimes the effect can look a bit fake, so it’s great to be able to reduce or increase the aperture once the photo has been taken. The third photo is a great example of using the Wide Aperture Feature with my P9.
On day three or four of our week long trip around Italy we stopped to rest a night in this camping ground, located in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Toscana. We arrived an hour and a half before sunset, which meant that the lighting was soft and easy to shoot in.
A quick weekend trip to London last month was the first time, in 17 months that I was in an English speaking country. It was nice to read signs, listen in to people’s conversations and have a chat with the person in the shop. See more photographs from my weekend in London on my Flickr. Thanks London!
Instead of coming home from work, eating dinner and watching a TV show, I decided to take a walk and visit Kongens Have, almost across the road (well kinda) from the Botanical Gardens. Kongens Have (The King’s Garden) is a beautiful, big and green park almost at my doorstep. The park is the oldest and most visited park in central Copenhagen, but with modern twists like the veggie patch. A beautiful oasis within Copenhagen. See my flickr for more photographs.
My husband and I spent 1 week in Almeria, Spain and visited Cabo de Gata beach with some family members. I love how the first image looks like a desert. Enjoy!
For my 28th birthday, my husband took me on a weekend away to Menorca, Spain. The island has been on my to-visit list since reading the The Vacationers by Emma Straub. I know the book is based on the island of Mallorca, but after some research and explaining from my Spanish husband, I realised Menorca is an island I’d rather be on. Full of amazing blue watered beaches, it’s the perfect destination to escape the realities of reality.
